Here it is more lunacy from the leaders of fakery, trickery, treachery, fraudulence and lies at the North Georgia Conference of Methodist Churches. Get a load of this fellow former Sugarloafers, dissenters and defectors from this institution of ersatz religious worship. Sugarloaf United Methodist Church’s Senior Minister Tommy Willingham has done such a good job of keeping the cash coming in and covering up for his pal of 15 years, Scott Ray, that the hypocrites at the North Georgia Conference of Methodist Churches have awarded him a promotion and swanky title as minister in charge of new church development. Can you believe it!! The hypocrisy of the NGCMC is so thick you can cut it with a knife. Any practicing Methodist in the NGCMC reading this blog entry should seriously think twice about the kind of leadership values the North Georgia Conference of Methodist Churches practices and places on ethics, morality and above all honesty and respect for members of the affiliated congregations. No need to review the moral transgressions Bishop Lindsey Davis and his cronies committed and allowed to be perpetrated at Sugarloaf United Methodist Church on October the 22nd 2006 and since. We all have seen the sorted history smeared across the Internet with more than enough detail to satisfy even the stanches of Scott Ray’s defenders that something really heinous took place at Sugarloaf United Methodist Church.
So, let’s all bid a meager and uncaring send-off to Tommy Willingham or should it be “good riddance to bad rubbish.” You’re one of the biggest “put ons” out there. Actually you place a close third behind the “cheap lounge singer” Larry Parker and the “queen of drama” Kerry Lauria (what sickness are you fighting this week Kerry??) Anyway Tommy way to use the mess Scott Ray left behind to “punch your ticket” and “make your bones” by murdering the truth and perpetuating the cover up for an adulterous, drunken fake. You truly have served your master’s at the NGCMC well. Just like a loyal dog. Enjoy those 30 pieces of silver and your new found power. In no time you’ll be anointed Bishop. Beneath that “country pumpkin persona” beats the heart of a cold calculating corporate climber and kiss arse not well intentioned minister of God's word. How you rectify your two years at Sugarloaf United Methodist is up to you and God. As for those of us who know the truth about Scott Ray, you are nothing but a moral defective for not exposing the lie Scott Ray committed against the church and for not turning a sympathetic ear and offering aid to those families hurt by Scott Ray. To do so would be an admission and admission would validate that a lie had been committed and wrongs had been carried out. It’s quite the moral paradox isn’t it? One you failed. You could have been an example of the righteous instead you are a symbol of what’s truly wrong with our churches and society in general. We all know how you love to talk about reaching out to the “non-churched”. The fact is Tommy your actions and in actions illustrate to many the exact reasons why people don’t want to go to church and are turned off by ministers like you and Scott Ray. Churches in general have truly become a business and the “corporate heads” at the NGCMC have ordered their loyal lap dawg to keep the cover up going and ensure an atmosphere of morality is maintained at all costs.
Ohhh Tommy let’s not try and use the excuse that you didn't know or hadn't been informed. You got the letter and copies have been made. One of these days you’re going to pick up the morning paper and see your name associated with Scott Ray’s along with the unfolding scandal of sexual exploitation by clergy gripping the Methodist Church and its North Georgia Conference. The entire story embellished by the fact that a cabinet level member of the North Georgia Council of Methodist Churches is involved. It’s sure to be akin to the pedophile priest scandals the Catholic Church has endured over the past decade. You should do well to remember this as you prepare for you final summon. We will be there watching and waiting to see if you do try to make amends. Although no one is holding out any hope you’ll suddenly grow a conscience or practice any sort of Christian morality. The same morality you tend to profess. It’s doubtful you’ll fess up to what you have helped propagate at Sugarloaf United Methodist Church or to sins of your predecessor but that’s up to you and your conscience to deal with. It must suck to have your entire pastoral record called into question by one single act of omission.
Hello Stuart Green. Here’s hoping you’ll do a little bit better in the honesty department than Tommy. We will be watching and waiting to see how you fare in the garbage wake left by the USS Scott Ray!!! Most likely you’ll do no better than Tommy but judgment on that issue will be forthcoming.
